A new FairRoot version has been released. Please find the list of Fixes, Changes and new Features here.

The gtest download location has changed.
This results in a crash of the installation process.

The scripts were corrected to use the new location. The correction was done for the following branches and tags.

Branches: dev, jul15_patches, nov15_patches, may16_patches

In the moment the Sourceforge web page has a problem which results in problems when downloading packages from Sourceforge. This results in an error when trying to unpack the boost package or any other package which comes from Sourceforge.

Meanwhile there have been 3 new patch releases for FairRoot.

The first two v-15.11b and v-15.11c have been released to solve some problems with the reading of real data using FairRunOnline and FairUnpack. The third one v-15.11d solves some problem with setting the correct environment when running tests with ROOT6. More details about the patches are on the github release page at

The location of the pythia6 download location and for some releases also the location of the geant3 download location has changed.
This results in a crash of the installation process. Also the installation of the pythia8 data files has been corrected for the nov15 release.
